Nestling in the rural heart of Angus, Scotland, Brechin Cathedral is an ancient Parish Church whose proud witness to the love of Christ has continued for nearly 1000 years.
Throughout its long and remarkable history, Brechin Cathedral has been an oasis of worship and prayer, friendship and fellowship where people have sought out the presence of the Triune God, to whom the Cathedral has its dedication.
Brechin Cathedral is a congregation of the Church of Scotland, the national Church, which is Presbyterian in government.
Following in a proud tradition, the Cathedral is today a living community where we endeavour to worship God and serve our local community and the wider world. We are a union of young and old, faithful and doubter, all seeking the love of God and presence of Christ in our lives.

Dry Rot Appeal
We are currently undergoing a major project to investigate dry rot within the timbers of the roof.
This so far has been located in the Queens Aisle area but surveys have been carried out and the indication is that the disease may have spread to other sections of the roof.
An estimate for the repair costs is a figure of tens of thousands of pounds and as such fund raising is a high priority within the many sections of our church community.
If you would like to make a donation to assist with the cost of these repairs please go to our DONATE page and click on the Donate button which will lead you through the PayPal process.
